Being Equal Partners

Yes, the man is to work and provide for their families. Yes the wife is to be at home with the children to teach, guide, nurture, and love their children. (That is what we are commanded to do. If different circumstances require, roles can be switched) HOWEVER my firm belief is that husband and wife are to equally discipline, equally cook, equally clean, equally teach their children in love and righteousness, and equally be there for one another and the children. This might not happen all of the time, because my husband works and is in school so he is gone a majority of the time. But when he is home he does the same things I would do from the list above.  Obviously, if my husband is at work all day he is not able to cook for us. Duh. But on the weekends he tries his best to help out however he can. Both jobs are equally hard and draining. Yes, I stay home and babysit some children from our ward but by the end of the day I am so flipping tired I can barely do anything. That is life...

Marital Intimacy & Fertility

Here is the the video I posted on YouTube regarding my thoughts of Martial Intimacy & Fertility. There is this amazing book that I feel everyone should read because it has so many helpful hints and just great information about marriage and families. I have mentioned it before but it is called, Successful Marriages and Families: Proclamation Principles and Research Perspectives  Edited by Alan J. Hawkins, David C. Dollahite, and Thomas W. Draper. When I read chapter 5 I had to make a post about my feelings. It was just too good! One thing that stuck out to me was on page 52 - it gives a list of "attitudes that promote positive marital sexuality..." the ones that stuck out to me the most were, "1. Sexual interaction is a healthy component of marriage that need not be a source of negative feelings or guilt." And "5. Couples should strive to create a "we" relationship , where both partners' sharing and pleasure is important as opposed to one pe...

Celestial Marriage

You guys... sometimes it takes a little reminder to show us how blessed we truly are... doesn't it? I am often reminded at how blessed I am for my life, my daughter, my amazing husband, our home, the Temple and the blessings that reside inside, our families, friends, the fun things in life, and for our Father in Heaven. As I have previously stated, I have always attended church and have tried my best to follow the commandments. When I have strayed I did my best to repent with a sincere heart. Growing up I always thought I knew how important an eternal marriage was. But I didn't really KNOW until I got sealed to my amazing husband for time and all eternity. I had never attended a sealing before so I was never aware what words were said, what happened when husband and wife got married in the temple. The things that are said within the walls of the temple are so sacred. I remember the day like it was yesterday. THAT was the day I realized how important Celestial Marriages were. ...

Our Story

Wow. Where do I begin? As a teen and young adult I dated some jerks, nice guys, a divorced guy with a 12 year old child, a gay guy, 😂 (ok... I only went on one date with him... I felt super weird around him hence it was only ONCE HAHAHA) very spiritual guys, some guys who I helped influence to build their testimony, and one perfect man. **I still laugh about the dumb choices in guys that I made, but I learned from them.  In Spring of 2014 I was set up on a blind date by my friend. We went on a triple date and it was super fun! The problem was that I was "trying" to get the guy to like me. I asked my friend how I should act around him and things I could do to become his girlfriend.... OK THAT WAS DUMB 😂! Who does that? HAHA But long story short, he would never commit to anything... We went on a few more dates but never would hold my hand or progress in wanting to become bf/gf. Then he kissed me one week before I was supposed to move to CHICAGO with him, his sisters and...

Early Life

I grew up in Arizona 🌵 with one sister, and lots of cousins! I honestly do not remember much as a child (I literally have the worst memory) but I know childhood was great. My nickname was "Taz" growing up because I was a very active child. My mom found me on top of the refrigerator one time! HAHA Oops, sorry mom! 😜 I am noticing my daughter is the same way (From what my family has told me)! She is very active and loves to climb on furniture, jump off the couch and have a good ole' time!   My parents raised me and my sister in the LDS church  and I will be forever grateful for that. I loved primary and Young Women's and always had the best leaders that led by example. Since I was a young child, all I wanted was to get MARRIED in the temple and have babies! I planned to be married right out of high school... I would have children right away, and life would be peachy!  These days it seems as though people take the term marriage very lightly. There are so...
